DIY Christmas Stockings Catnip Toy

I was shopping for a gift for my friend for having a baby girl, and I saw these cute baby socks on sale! Immidiately I thought about making a cat-nip filled toy. This is super easy, do it yourself cat toy, great for gifts and puuurfect for Christmas!

Get cat-nip(preferably organic) from pet store and fill a generous amount in a sock. Next step is...

Goma likes it too, obviously, he wants more than one...

You don't have the time or a sewing machine to make one? Good news! It looks like I made enough for a few lucky kitties out there...(but only 20 of them total). Sorry I can only ship to US and Canada.

I had a kitty who would watch the machine needle go up and down, I was scared she would try to tap it with her paw!

I sometimes make a catnip toy using knee-high stockings. I stuff them with a bit of catnip and two or three crumpled up plastic grocery bags. Tie a knot in top, fold down over itself and tie another one. If they're long enough, I'd do that another time as well. They work great for my indoor kitties (I keep their nails trimmed) but I will admit that one kitty that I pet sit for destroyed it pretty quickly (nails not trimmed). **sigh**

Yours are much cuter.

Oh, they're so cute! I don't think I could have them at home, though, because my Siamese has a weird knack for chewing on socks! :(

These are just great! You come up with just wonderful ideas. I think I need to go to the $ store again for some baby socks, then my pet store for some organic cat nip for Piglet.

Very cute Sachie!
Lily pestered me to get the little kitty one for her. (What Lily wants-Lily gets!)

If you are sewing-challenged, you can just tie a knot on the top of the baby sock.

Not as pretty, but it works
