Goma Update + WBCL Giveaway Extended!!

SACHIE: Come on! That is medicine that made you feel better!
GOMA: You die die die!!!
SACHIE: sigh... well everyone as you can see he is doing better...

I took Goma to his regular Vet today. Dr. Moore. She checked his eyes, stomach and ears. Goma was not happy when she tried to peek into his ears especially the left one. Well, after his traumatic experience I won't blame him. Good news is that he is doing much better!! Dr. Moore said she was very pleased to see Goma recovering so quickly. His eyes are still little unstable, but almost back to normal, his ears looking really good as well!!! THANK GOD!! It is amazing how quickly he recovered knowing how bad his condition was few days ago...

We still not sure if groomer will pay for his medical expenses,  my husband's dad called them yesterday but she still won't pay until she receives Goma's medical report. We are getting all the report from the vet rght now including today's check up with Dr. Moore. Once everything compiled, I will e-mail them.

I have to tell you this, when my husband's dad called the second time to ask if they have fax number, the girl who groomed Goma answered, ans she started to yelling at him. I think that is VERY unprofessional, if she is a good groomer she will have more compassion for the animals she hurt and try to learn from this experiences. I just am so glad I am not taking Goma there anymore.

great to hear goma is better . as for the groomer i think they shouldn't be doing cats. I do my cat myself. hope your father-in-law is a lawyer. They should pay for their mistakes simple no yelling i know cats are hard to do you need to be very calm with a cat. i had a hard time finding someone who would do my cat in nj.
most of them are afraid of cats i have a vet that was beleive it or not.

have a great day and happy holidays. noreen m

The shop must be out of their minds. Not even offering a refund is hard to understand. Paying the vet bill would be a good investment considering the word of mouth damage to the business would be worth it.

By the way, Goma looks SO good. Fluff was left with a slight tilt of the head. Makes him look thoughtful at times, but I have seen when he is tired it is more noticeable.

So glad Goma is better. He looks great. Must be feeling better if he's attacking his meds!
Don't back down with that groomer. There is no excuse for such unprofessional behavior. You live in a small town. Other pet parents should know about this.
They are a disgrace to the profession.

Kisses to Goma from my furbabies.

Maybe you should take them to small claims court. It would force them to pay for Goma's vet bills and the court costs. It would also give the groomer some bad press and let other pet owners who use this groomer know how poorly their furry family members are treated there.

Sachie! Don't let them bully you! If you have to, file a claim with their insurance!!! You do not deserve to be treated like this!

I am glad Goma is feeling better though <3

I am glad that Goma is almost back to normal! That groomer sounds horrible - they should not be doing cats, and considering the customer service, I wonder if they should be in business at all. How dare they try to intimidate someone with a valid complaint.

That's insane that the groomer actually yelled at you. I would take them to small claims court, like someone had suggested. Apparently that individual is highly unprofessional and shouldn't be working on animals if they can't do it properly. It simply amazes me how rude people are when they're caught red handed. Man up and stop trying to get out of what you owe, you horrible groomer lady.

I'm with everyone else, don't give up on getting the groomer to pay for the vet bill! I've had many groomers to tell me that they don't do cats because they are so unique. A groomer (almost 10 years ago) hurt Sweet Praline on her belly and she was never the same going to a groomer again.

Goma - I must admit, you do look great! I hope you continue to improve.

So glad Goma is recovering and doing so much better. Quite a scare. Hopefully the groomer will take care of the vet bills once they receive the vet report.

I agree with several of the commenters above that you should go directly to small claims court -- depending on what your vet bills are since there is a limit -- after first nicely requesting (by letter so you have documentation in the event you do go to court) reimbursement for what they did to your baby.

I would also alert other animal parents in your area to what these groomers did to your baby as I'm guessing it wasn't the first time someone was injured but it would be nice if it was the last.
