Goma and His Babygate

Goma and Syd(my BF's Doggy) don't quite get along, well I think Goma is the one who is being stubborn here. Syd is very good with Goma, he will patiently sit still when Goma is around, but Goma is the one who is more aggressive towards Syd. It is funny because Syd is 85lb dog....and Goma is 13lb.... anyway, we wanted both to interact without Goma scratching Syd so the solution was to put up a baby gate in one of the room. That way Syd and Goma can still see each other but Goma won't be able to hurt him. I am hoping gradually they will get used to be around each other and babygate can come out. I have to be patient, I know one day it will!!SACHIE: Goma seriously, you need to chill out.

I don't blame you, Goma. I get in a snot when a woofie has the audacity to turn up at my place.

I love Goma, and I hope she calms down soon.

The first day we brought home our Ferdy-cat, she hissed and scratched our very sweet dog.

We tried everything to help them get along.

Now, five years later, she still hisses and scratches our very patient dog.

It appears that some cats never get used to dogs.

Good luck!

Poor Goma! He was used to being the king around his little kingdom and then this little woofie shows up. I would probably be the same way.

Good luck, Sachie.

Shhh! Don't tell Bhu I said this. In our house, he is the ONLY pet. We used to have two adult female kittehs and we had to keep them separated from Bhu, so they lived downstairs and he lived upstairs. Bhu is a big boy, like Goma, and he used to run after them and jump on top of them; they would collapse to the ground under him! Only once did a woofie ever dare to enter our home and it was very unpleasant for Bhu. He was a big dog, like Syd. I'm afraid Syd and Goma will never be friends.

At least Syd isn't scared of Goma, like my dog Indra was, when we first got him! It was 3 cats V.S. 1 dog! Indra just turned around in his kennel, and I honestly think that he thougt we couldn't see him! Goma will get used to Syd eventually... hopefully...
