This is why Goma is so smart!!

OMG! My house is so hot I can't stand it. I am staying still but sweats are running down my neck!! Goma also looked very hot and tired. He kept opening his small mouth trying to exhaust the hot air!! I really worried so I went and bought double fan that I can install my window. I install it fine but I don't feel any cooler...maybe I am doing something wrong...do I suppose to put exhaust on one fan and fresh air in the other?? I have no idea... Anyway, funny part is I was cooking despite of this hot room. When I finished I can not find Goma enywhere!! I looked and looked and finally I found him INSIDE OF THE FRIDGE!! SLEEPING!!! I thought he is dead for second but actually he LOVES staying there. I understand so I let him stay there door opened. He probably stay inside of the fridge like 30 minutes then he finally came out. He was somehow refreshed so started to running around the room as usual. I think I should put him in the fridge(door opened) few times a day with my supervison. That's the only way we can survibe this summer!! Don't worry I will make sure he will not freeze!

I hear time in the fridge will also refresh young children, but 30 minutes is a bit too long. From my experience, they can only last about five minutes. After that they lose consciousness, and do NOT come out "refreshed." Oh, and for Goma, get him his own little "dorm" fridge. He'll love that like a little kitty water bowl with his name on it.

ya totally agree. I should get small fridge for Goma and paint it. It will be a fun project! Next time I will put him for few minutes. Thanks for the comment!

Greetings. I have been enjoying your goma blog for more than a week now. I think it is wonderful how much you love your baby kitty. In fact you inspired me to replace my little cat that died recently with a himalyan kitten. To be sure, I will return to catch up on the antics of Goma.

Hi Laurie.
Ohh...I am so sorry about your kitten...I can't imagine to loose something so precious like Himalayan kitten!! I don't know what I will do if I loose Goma!! But I am so glad that you decided to get new kitten and Himalayan kitten that is!! I don't know if you have a breeder yet but Suzette's Cozycreek Cattery(www.lovemycats.net) is truly a great place to get Himalayan kitty. That's where Goma is from! Suzette has a lot of new kittens avairable on her site now. If you haven't gotten the kitty you should look into it!! Thanks for the comment and I never thought I will encourage somebody to get Himalayan kitty...when I first started this blog I told myself who's gonna read this blog other than me?? but I am so glad some other people also enjoy it too!! Please let me know how your new kitty is doing and all. Thanks!

That is cute - I have a Himilayan too and he gets into everything! But something else you can do is take a washcloth dipped in cold water and wipe his forehead with it - from between his eyes backwards. My vet did this when he had fever and I notice it helps when he gets overheated.
